Lune's guide to glowing bridal skin 🤍 - Monday Muse

Lune's guide to glowing bridal skin 🤍

Oh — so you're getting married?

First of all… congratulations 🤍

I know it can feel overwhelming, so here's exactly what I did, and when. Consider this your no-noise guide to glowing bridal skin.

I got married last summer, and as someone with acne-prone, sensitive skin, I knew I had to prep intentionally. There is so much noise out there about "bridal prep" — extreme routines, last-minute treatments, doing the absolute most — and honestly, it's a lot.

So I want to cut through it for you. What I actually did was simpler than you'd think, and it doesn't need to cost a fortune.

No complicated routines. No panic. Just consistency, good basics, and giving your skin the time it needs.

My bridal skin timeline

Start from within

I started supporting my skin from the inside out — and this is where I'd tell everyone to begin. Even without breakouts, supplementing for skin health makes a real difference to how balanced, even-toned, and glowy your skin looks. Your skin cycle is around 30 days, so starting early is the whole game. For my skincare, I focused on hydration, clarifying products, and nourishment — all about building that glow. Find a routine that suits your skin type and stick to it.

Keep it up

Resist the urge to switch things up or try a new routine every week — I know how tempting it is. Consistency is what builds a strong, healthy skin barrier, and that's the best base for makeup, full stop. Keep it simple: cleanse, treat, hydrate, protect.

I'll be honest — I relied on Monday Muse solely for my wedding prep. I used these four daily, and exfoliated 1–3x a week with The Powder for gentle cell turnover.

Less is more

"Perfect" skin doesn't exist — and it's definitely not hiding in the next viral tip on your For You page. Stick to your routine, keep supplementing, drink plenty of water (add electrolytes if you need an extra hydration boost). And please, sleep. Nothing replicates the glow that 8 hours gives you. That consistency is what gave me that natural, you-but-better skin on the day.

You've done the work. Trust it. The goal now is just to not undo it.

Stay the course

No new products, no experimenting. Your skin is settled; let it stay that way. If you've been exfoliating, pause now. You want calm, not reactive. If anything, add a few extra drops of facial oil at night to boost nourishment and glow going into the big day.

You're already glowing. Don't let pre-wedding nerves undo months of good work.

On the day

Your moment

Start with a gentle cleanse or a cool splash of water, then follow your usual routine. Prepped skin makes such a difference to how your makeup sits; your artist will notice, and so will you. You've done everything right. Now go enjoy it.
